What have you been up to lately?
I went up to hood for the first session this summer with Riley, Danimals, and Jake; we just took a little road trip out there. It was super fun. Other than that I’ve just been hanging out and working.
Where have you been working?
I work at this company called Display Sales in Bloomington. You know those Christmas displays, like snowflake decorations on lightpoles in small towns? That’s what they sell. So I’ve been going to work, shipping those out, and listening to book-tapes.
What book-tapes have you been listening to?
I’m slowly making a small dent in the Star Wars Expanded Universe books. I’ve only gone through about 22 or 23. There’s about 140.
No way. That’s insane.
Yeah, it’s pretty crazy. The books are even better than the movies. About the average length is roughly 12 hours long, so maybe 300 pages?
Do you ever think that you’ll have a full library of the Star Wars books?
Maybe not all of them, I’d definitely like to have a collection of the ones I like the most so I can go back and read them. Having all those books would take up so much space, but it’d be pretty cool to have them all.
So when I come out, what are we going to be doing? I know we had talked about getting massages and boarding.
We’d probably start off with a massage, or actually we could ride Hyland, eat Panchero’s, and then get a massage. After that we’d probably come home and play video games for a few hours.
Massages, boarding, and video games. That’d be so fun. So have you always lived in Minnesota?
Yep, I was born here and I’ve always stayed here.
Why’ve you stayed?
It’s just got everything that I need here basically. Family, all my friends. Snowboarding wise it offers pretty much everything I’d like to do, other than powder of course. Summers, go skate and bike and fish and get everything. It’s pretty rad.
I feel the same way about Michigan. What boot have you been riding?
Last year I had the Hi-Standard, and I think I’m riding it again this year. I want to ride the softest boot I have access to.
Any shout outs? Thank yous?
Definitely family and friends. Thank Riley and Sam, they’re the ones that have made everything possible for me, going out and filming with me. Seth at Volcom for making everything happen. Definitely my parents for supporting me as much as they do, and making this happen.
